I used to have a nice dehydrator and I’m not sure what happened to it. I suspect it was lost or broken in a move.
This next year, sort of as the official kick-off of a new hobby, I want to start canning and preserving more of my own food. I also am thinking a lot about our veggie garden this Spring/Summer. Tracey better watch out. Heh.
So, I asked for and received a new dehydrator as a Xmas gift. It’s nice and fancy, electronic thermostat and timer, as well as all the goodies to make fruit leathers (think Fruit Roll-Up) and non-stick grates for things like bananas.
Speaking of bananas, our 11YO and I gave dehydrating bananas a shot.
